The Church is SOOOOO TRUE!

Email - January 13, 2014

Things have been going really well here! I am learning the area pretty quickly!!! This last week Elder Cangas has been trying to teach me how to do a Rubik's cube!!! I AM ALMOST ABLE TO DO IT!! I always get to the end and forget the pattern to do! It's so hard. But, to answer Dad's question.. Elder Cangas has been here for like 5 transfers! So he's a fossil in this area! hahahhah. President Millar I think told him this would be his last transfer here, and living in a two man flat has been ok!! Different, but good!

Last night, I had a dream about me and Jordan Peck when we were young! It was literally like having a movie played in my head. I have been thinking about him a whole lot lately! Im so grateful that I was able to grow up with that kid and have him as such a good friend my whole life so far. It makes me want to cry whenever I think about that we didn't hang out much in high school. And, it's my fault cause I was such a terrible friend. I will forever be grateful for him.

Good luck to Tanner in Nevada this week!! I'm jealous of the warm weather he will see!!

It has been pretty nice here this week! Not so much rain!!! And, today even right now it is sunny outside :) not so warm but its sunny! So, I'll take it!! :)

I really love this area! and I am so glad that I am able to be here at this time as well! The members have been great getting involved with teaching and all that!

I can't believe how fast time is going though!!! It's the craziest thing in the world!! It seems like yesterday I got my call, but it was a whole year ago that I was turning in my papers!! That means that my friends that are Seniors at PG now will be getting their calls soon!! Ah and someone better get called here! I would lose it! Like Brayden Cox! or someone like that! I would be so happy! I miss Coxy so much!!

This work is amazing! And, the Church is SOOOOO TRUE! I love it! and I love knowing for a fact that what people say doesn't matter to me cause I know that the Church is true no matter what opinions people have on it!

I miss you all so much and I'm so thankful for the support and love that I feel! I say that every week, but it's true! The love I feel is indescribable! and it helps me when things get hard!!

I LOVE YOU!!!

Love, Elder Munson

"Last P day.  Ball is life!"

"Sister Welch had us over for an amazing dinner on Saturday and she tried to squirt whipped cream in my mouth...buuuut she missed...clearly.  Haha!"

"Proper English breakfast a member fed us on Tuesday.  It was good!"

"This is a letter box in England. Maybe you have seen one in pictures I have sent before, but they are usually RED.  If a gold medal winner from the most recent olympics lives near, they paint the nearest one to their home GOLD! Pretty cool tradition I think!  I have seen a few gold ones since being in this area."

"Weekly pic. :)"

"My new favorite fruit...Persimmon or Kaki fruit.  It is SOOOO good!"

I LOVE MITCHAM WARD!

Email - January 6, 2014

I LOVE MITCHAM WARD! Seriously, it is great here. I think I might be the piano player for sacrament though cause no one knows how!!! hahaha so that will be fun!

This is a great area! It needs a lot of work but it's great! The members are amazing!

We have a couple of investigators that I got to meet this week! One is named V____. He is from Sri Lanka. He is awesome! And another one is N____. He is from Jamaica. He's been investigating for years, but he just has not been baptized yet.

The flat that we live in is SO nice. Nicest flat by far that I have lived in! I love it. It is weird being in a two man flat but I am getting used to it! It's a lot easier to get up on time and go to bed on time and work out and all that!

Elder Cangas is a cool guy. He loves anime! and he is a great artist! His drawings are all anime and they are so sick. I've been having him draw Pokemon for me! hahahahaha

All the other missionaries in the Catford ward stayed!  And here in the Mitcham ward there are 4 missionaries. Elder Cangas and I and Sister Polidario (from the Philippines) and Sister Yoshimura (from Japan). They are amazing! It's seriously just the best here.

Oh, and thank you soooo much for the groceries! That was great. Such a surprise, but it helps us out so much!

I miss you guys and I'm so thankful for all of the love and support I feel from you!!! I have the best family and friends in the world! I hope all is well and that you had a great new year's!

Dad, that NFL playoff picture is interesting! It is crazy what Cam Newton has turned the Panthers into in just a few years! But, I'm faithful to Russell Wilson!!!!! LETS GO SEAHAWKS! A Colts Seahawks Superbowl would be so heart tearing for me! haha Gall, I miss football.

Love, Elder Munson

-Oh, and I forgot to say that on Saturday, we got to go to a wedding of a member of the Mitcham ward.  He's been off of his mission for just over two months and he got married!  It was really cool though!!-

"Eating FuFu!"

"A cool wall."

"We played a funny board game we found at McDonald's! Seriously, for like an hour we played this kids meal game."

"Elder Cangas and I at the wedding."

"Wedding selfie."

"Me and ward member, Bridget!  She is sick!"

More and more and more...

HOLY this last week flew by. Christmas came and went just like that! But, it was sooooo good to see you guys and talk to you on Christmas! That was the best! I loved it! Deco's family is the best.

Christmas week was just the best. I felt so much love and support from so many people back home and friends around the world! It made me so happy and I feel so blessed. I know that I am so blessed with the family and friends that I have!

I love this work and I learn more and more and more every single week. It is hard at times... very hard, but that's what makes missions such a special thing. I don't think there is another job or errand that is this busy, this hard, this mentally, emotionally, and physically draining where you can still feel of the Spirit at all times and feel a sense of peace and happiness no matter how hard things are going. It really is incredible!!! I love it.

Since getting the workout set for Christmas, I have been using it well! I watched the video it came with that shows some good workouts to do and I go hard every day! And, I've been feeling it! I started on Thursday and I've been proper sore the last few days! But, if I keep it up I'll be in better shape than I ever have been in an off season. ;) haha

It was good to hear about Tanner Jacobson! That is awesome!

I miss you guys so much! I miss everyone so much! But, I love this work!! I hope all is well! I LOVE YOU! I hope you all had a good week! And that you all have a happy new year!

Love, Elder Munson

I love Christmas time!

Email - December 23, 2013

Alright, so seriously! There is so much to say this week but so little time! We have to hurry and email today to be able to get to the bridge on time and such! We're basically going to be there all day and it takes days to travel!

On Tuesday, we got to go to the temple. It was the best day of my mission by far! I missed the temple so much! We are so blessed to live near the temple and we can go often! I am also so blessed to even be in a mission with a temple in it! Even the London Mission missionaries don't get to go to the temple cause it is not in their mission boundaries! So crazy lucky for me.

Isabel took me and Elder Bognar and Deco out to lunch on Saturday! We went to a very good Mexican restaurant called Cafe Sol! It reminded me of Los Cucos! She is the best!

Sunday was such a good day of church! The Primary did a big nativity performance after Sacrament Meeting! It was the best! I got to be a Roman soldier in it! It was funny! Then, Santa visited the kids! :) R____, our investigator came and I think he really enjoyed it! He is sweet!

I freaking love Christmas time! I cannot wait to be able to talk to you guys on Wednesday.

I love you all and I'm so grateful for all the support and love I feel from you guys!

Sorry this is so brief! Seriously flying here!!!

Talk to you soon. ;)

Love, Elder Munson!

 "At the temple. :)"

"Sweet Christmas tie! Elder Ocando let me wear it!!"

Nativity

Burnt pizza

"Samantha Kidd, a member, gave me some aftershave for Christmas...cologne?"

"Elder Buglass...I mean Jason, took us to lunch on Thursday."

"Loads of missionaries from my MTC group."

"Me and Elder Popa from Romania!! He's so crazy! Haha."
